Open our imaginations to new dimensions of your love,
and heal us of all that severs us from you and one another;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

for victims of oppression...

We pray for all people, in the aftermath of natural disasters: may they be given the strength and assistance they need to recover and rebuild their lives.

May the homeless be provided with housing, food, clothing and clean water.

We pray for for an end to the greed that rules our world...

for orphans of war and the AIDS epidemic...

Pray for those who are unloved and those unable to love.

 Defend our liberties, and fashion us into one united people...


Never again. 


Lord of compassion and wisdom,
How often do I exalt myself and look over you?
I look over the heads of my more humble brothers and sisters,
not seeing how they rely on you more than I do.
Help me to learn from them to make you the center of my life.
Give me the grace to see those around me who are brokenhearted.
Guide me in being with them in their sorrows.
I ask for the courage to help them with their needs
and be your hands and feet on this earth.
Amen.
